Sophia Momodu Drops Claim of No Child Support From Davido

Sophia Momodu, the mother of Davido’s first child, has opened up about raising their daughter on her own.

She revealed that she has not received any financial support from the singer since Imade was born.

For the past five years, Sophia has taken full responsibility for her daughter’s care.

She said that Imade is happy and growing up in a secure and loving home, showing that her needs are being met despite the absence of child support.

I have handled all of her expenses except for school fees, which her paternal grandparent has kindly covered for the past three years. I have not received child support from her father, but our child knows no lack. She is growing in a healthy environment and is very happy. In an effort to reaffirm my commitment to her happiness, I recently waived all outstanding child support payments and relinquished future claims. This decision has left me fully responsible for our child’s financial needs, which is a welcomed development by both parties.

Sophia also confirmed that Imade enjoys a good relationship with both parents, even as she handles most of the parenting herself.

She called on the public to stop involving her child in false stories online.

The statement follows criticism aimed at Sophia for reportedly keeping Imade from attending Davido’s recent birthday in Atlanta.

She used the opportunity to stress that her priority is always her daughter’s wellbeing, regardless of rumors or online opinions.

I am grateful that my daughter has a loving relationship with both parents. Moving forward, I kindly request that my innocent child be left out of false narratives and stories. Let’s channel our energy towards things that are more profitable and healthy.
