Spice Diana Encourages Big Eye After NUP Snub

Songstress Spice Diana has weighed in on the political saga surrounding Ugandan musician Big Eye, born Ibrahim Mayanja.

Earlier this year, Big Eye announced his intention to run for the Nansana Municipality parliamentary seat in 2026.

However, the opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) chose former news anchor Zambaali Bulasio Mukasa as its flag bearer, leaving Big Eye without the party’s ticket.

Despite the setback, Big Eye publicly accepted the decision, expressing gratitude to his supporters and reaffirming his loyalty to the party and his vision for a better Nansana and Uganda.

Speaking to Rewind, Spice Diana encouraged Big Eye to see the situation as part of a larger journey.

It is just the start of his new political journey. To me, it is an achievement that he has taken a step to move on to something bigger. He knows what he is doing, and the struggle is the same.

For Spice Diana, Big Eye’s political path is about courage and commitment.

Her remarks suggest that, while this chapter may not have gone as planned, it is far from the end of his ambitions.
