Spice Diana Honored with Dormitory Naming at St. Andrew’s College Ssanda
In a post on her Instagram, singer Spice Diana, born Namukwaya Hajara Diana, shared a special moment as a dormitory at St. Andrew’s College Ssanda was named after her.
Looking back at her childhood, Spice Diana said she never thought her name would be honored in such a big way.
“Growing up, I often saw roads and buildings named after Uganda’s greats, but it never occurred to me that one day, my name could be honored in the same way,” she wrote.
For her, the naming of the dormitory is not just a personal achievement, but a reminder of the responsibility that comes with success.
“At St. Andrew, a school dormitory has been named “Spice Diana,” and to me, that’s no small thing. It is a powerful reminder that with great power comes great responsibility,” she wrote.
Spice Diana thanked the Directors, Father Lawrence, and the management of St. Andrew’s Sanda for the incredible honor.
She also encouraged the students who will stay in the dormitory, hoping they will see her name as a reminder that their dreams are valid and possible.
“To the students who will sleep in that dormitory, may my name serve as a constant reminder that your dreams are valid and achievable,” she wrote.
