Burna Boy has taken Spotify by storm, becoming the most streamed African artiste in 2025 with almost 2 billion streams.
The Nigerian superstar left his rivals behind, including Wizkid, Tyla, Rema, and Davido, showing why he continues to lead Afrobeats worldwide.
Wizkid came in second with 1.81 billion streams, while South Africa’s Tyla landed third with 1.67 billion.
Rema and Davido followed with 1.63 billion and 1.58 billion streams.
Other stars also made a strong impression this year.
Asake reached 1.52 billion streams, Ayra Starr hit 1.47 billion, CKay had 1.38 billion, Seyi Vibez scored 1.32 billion, and Mr Eazi completed the top ten with 1.26 billion streams.
This milestone shows the global rise of Afrobeats.
