State House Anti-Corruption Unit Summons MBA Promoters Over Government Funds

The State House Anti-Corruption Unit has summoned several MBA promoters, including Bajjo, Abtex, Lumba Moses, Balujwa, and Yasin Kaweesa, to explain how government funds meant to support MBA promoters were spent.

According to the Unit, the individuals were asked to provide accountability and clarification regarding the use of money allocated to assist MBA promoters.

The agency stated that concerns had been raised about possible misuse and poor management of the funds.

Meanwhile, some individuals, including Nobat and Promoter Yiga, supported the actions of the Anti-Corruption Unit. They maintained that the money had already been used as intended.

Additionally, the Unit revealed that based on the information received, Abtex and his colleagues were allegedly instructed to refund funds that were reported to be unaccounted for.

The matter remains under review as investigations and discussions continue.

The Anti-Corruption Unit emphasized that its role is to promote transparency and accountability, particularly in the management of public funds.

It has called on all parties involved to cooperate fully in order to clear their names and maintain public trust.
