Sturla Holm Lægreid Confesses Cheating After Olympic Bronze Win

Norwegian biathlete Sturla Holm Lægreid stunned viewers moments after winning bronze at the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics.

The 28-year-old secured third place in the men’s 20km individual race behind teammate Johan-Olav Botn, who took gold, and France’s Eric Perrot, who claimed silver.

It marked Lægreid’s first individual Olympic medal.

But instead of focusing on the podium finish, he used a live interview on NRK to confess he had been unfaithful to his girlfriend months earlier.

He revealed he told her the truth just a week ago and described the period since as the worst of his life.

Reports suggest the relationship ended after his private admission.

The emotional timing divided fans online, with reactions ranging from praise for his honesty to criticism over turning a medal moment into a personal confession.
