Suspect Ortiz Faces 14 Charges in Rihanna Home Shooting Case
Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, 35, is facing 14 criminal charges after prosecutors say she fired gunshots toward the home of Rihanna.
Authorities say the singer was inside the residence at the time with rapper A$AP Rocky and their children. The family’s presence during the shooting raised serious concern among investigators.
Prosecutors say the charges include one count of attempted murder. Ortiz also faces ten counts of assault with a firearm and three counts connected to shooting at an inhabited dwelling.
Police arrested Ortiz shortly after the gunfire and she remains in custody.
Officials later confirmed that no one inside the home was injured. The motive behind the shooting has not yet been revealed.
