Suspekt Leizor Talks Charity and Why Music Took a Backseat

After a noticeable silence in the music scene, Suspekt Leizor is finally explaining why he stepped back, and it has nothing to do with fame fatigue or creative burnout.

Speaking on Jikonkone Rewind, the singer revealed that he has been dedicating his time and energy to uplifting the community he came from.

I come from the ghetto. Growing up, I saw and experienced a lot. Now, I am helping people in the ghetto. I have supported some through school, and we have been teaching others practical, hands-on skills. My focus lately has been on charity. I run a charitable organization.

Far from a publicity stunt, Suspekt’s efforts have stayed mostly out of the spotlight.

He has been quietly working behind the scenes, helping his neighbors, mentoring youth, and supporting families in need.

Still, there are those who question the motives behind his charity work, suggesting it is just a tactic to attract donor funding.

Suspekt made it clear that he is not interested in playing that game.

Have you ever seen me helping people while being recorded on camera? The only time I appeared in front of a camera was once, and that was only because the person who needed help requested it on television.

He stressed that his focus remains on the people around him, not on public approval or national attention.

I help people in my community. I do not travel around the country looking for people to help. I focus on those around me, like my neighbors and others in my area. I help them as myself, and I do what I can.

While fans may be eager for new music, Suspekt Leizor has been invested in giving others the opportunities he once fought for himself.
