Tems Shares What She Would Have Done If Not for Music

Nigerian singer Tems almost had a very different career.

During a recent Q&A with fans on X, the Grammy-winning artist revealed that if music had not worked out, she would have been teaching mathematics or working as an accountant.

Before rising to global fame, Tems worked as a digital marketer.

She left that job in January 2018 to fully focus on her music.

Later that year, she released her debut single, Mr Rabel, which started to gain attention in Nigeria.

Her big break came in 2020 when she featured on Wizkid’s hit song “Essence.”

The remix with Justin Bieber helped the track reach number nine on the Billboard Hot 100, introducing Tems to fans all over the world.
