The Great Ugandan Dance Campaign
It is that glorious time again in Uganda when politicians remember their knees can bend. The campaign season has turned into a full-blown dance festival. Ministers who once looked allergic to laughter are now out here twerking like TikTok stars, hips shaking for democracy. The yellow camp alone could open a dance academy or should we call it “Politics in Motion.”
Forget manifestos, the new qualification for leadership is rhythm. You see them on stage, one hand in the air, sweat dripping, shouting “Are you feeling me?” and indeed, the crowd is feeling them. mostly with laughter. The same people who never reply to letters are suddenly doing the Wiggle of Service just to get your vote.
And you, dear voter, you are the DJ of this madness. When the drums start, you hold the power. Today they dance for you, tomorrow you dance for school fees. But enjoy the show while it lasts. Clap, laugh, record, and maybe vote for whoever makes your ribs hurt the most. Because if they cannot fix the country, at least let them entertain it.
