Timberlake Moves to Block Public Release of 2024 DWI Arrest Footage
Justin Timberlake is back in court, this time fighting to keep police body camera footage from his 2024 DWI arrest out of public view.
New documents filed on March 2, 2026, at Suffolk County Supreme Court show the singer is seeking an emergency injunction.
The arrest happened on June 18, 2024, in Sag Harbor.
The American singer-songwriter and actor argues that releasing the footage would cause serious and lasting harm to his reputation.
His lawyers say the video captures private moments, including field sobriety tests and time spent in custody.
They want the court to either block the release entirely or review the material and remove sensitive sections under New York’s Freedom of Information Law.
In September 2024, Timberlake pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of driving while impaired.
He paid a fine, completed community service, and recorded a public safety message.
So far, no footage has been released.
A judge has urged both sides to reach an agreement, but the legal fight over privacy and public access is still ongoing.
