Tiwa Savage Launches Music Foundation to Support African Creatives

For years, Tiwa Savage has exported African music to the world. Now she is turning her focus inward.

The Nigerian singer has launched the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation, an initiative aimed at closing the access gap in Africa’s music industry.

While Afrobeats dominates global charts, structured training and mentorship remain out of reach for many young creatives.

Instead of simply celebrating success, Savage is investing in infrastructure.

Through a new collaboration with Berklee College of Music, 100 selected participants will undergo a fully funded intensive programme in Lagos in April 2026, covering production, songwriting and music business.

As a Berklee alumna, Savage says the mission is personal.

The goal is not just to produce stars, but to strengthen the foundation behind Africa’s sound.
