TomDee Defends Eddy Kenzo Amid Veteran Backlash
Ugandan artiste TomDee has stepped into the ongoing fallout surrounding Eddy Kenzo, urging veteran Kadongo Kamu artistes to ease tensions as debate continues across the industry.
The controversy started after the BET Award winner suggested that many older artistes did not achieve financial success, a claim that drew sharp criticism from Kadongo Kamu legends who accused him of disrespecting pioneers.
As the backlash grew, TomDee weighed in through a Facebook post and called for calm and unity rather than escalation.
With all respect our elders should chill now “bave mu ntondo” because Eddy Kenzo has done more good than harm since his presidency.

He said the ongoing criticism of Kenzo could divide the industry instead of strengthening it.
He also questioned the intensity of the reaction and suggested that people may have misunderstood or exaggerated the remarks.
There is a misunderstanding here. Fighting him now is like fighting yourselves.
TomDee’s remarks drew mixed reactions, with some backing his call for unity while others insist that veteran artistes deserve more respect.
