Toxy Duda Dismisses “One-Hit Wonder” Label, Cites Financial Struggles
Singer Toxy Duda, best known for his breakout hit “Ebisenge,” has spoken out against the “one-hit wonder” label that follows him.
Though he has been active in the music industry for over three years, his career has yet to reach the level of mainstream visibility needed to cement him as a household name.
This lack of widespread recognition has led some fans and critics to dismiss his efforts, reducing his journey to that of an artiste with just one major hit.
But Toxy Duda disagrees with that narrative.
In an interview with Sanyuka Uncut, he made it clear that his biggest challenge is the lack of finances to push his music.
I am not a one-hit wonder. It is just the struggles of youth. Most people always wonder why they do not see my videos on television, even though they have the songs on their phones. Sometimes they do not hear my music on radio, and it is all because of financial limitations.
He added that, as a youth from the ghetto, he is constantly pushing to make things work despite the odds.
