Tragedy in Kwale as Mombasa Air Safari Plane Crashes
Tragedy struck Kenya on Tuesday when a small aircraft carrying 12 passengers crashed shortly after taking off from Diani airstrip in Kwale County.
The Cessna Caravan, operated by Mombasa Air Safari and bound for the Maasai Mara, went down in a hilly, forested area about 40 kilometers from the airstrip.
Eyewitnesses said the plane burst into flames on impact.
Authorities fear there were no survivors.
The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority confirmed all 12 people were onboard at the time of the crash.
Rescue teams are still at the scene, working to assess the full scale of the disaster.
