Ugandan Comedian Messe Dies in the United States
The Ugandan entertainment fraternity is grieving the loss of Nicholas Mpirwe, affectionately known as Messe B Nikolas, whose death was confirmed on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
The comedian, who brought joy to countless fans, passed away in the United States, where he had relocated several years ago in pursuit of a better life.
Messe was a household name thanks to his role in the Amarula Family, a comedy group that defined the golden era of Ugandan comedy.
Performing alongside Amooti, his wit and humor endeared him to many, leaving a legacy of laughter and entertainment.
The sad news was first shared by Grace Sekamatte, a former Eagles Production singer and a close friend of Messe.
Sekamatte, who had been with him in the U.S., expressed deep sorrow, highlighting the profound impact Messe had on the comedy scene and beyond.
