Uncle Chumi Claps Back at DJ Nimrod, Calls Him Outdated
During an appearance on Sanyuka Uncut, singer Uncle Chumi responded to recent remarks made by DJ Nimrod.
In a previous interview, DJ Nimrod said he does not know Uncle Chumi beyond big name artistes.
Asked about the comment, she dismissed him as outdated and irrelevant.
She made it clear that she does not consider him among the DJs shaping today’s music scene.
DJ Nimrod is nowhere. When has he ever had a track that trended? The DJs I know, he is not among them.
Uncle Chumi also stated that she sees no need to seek his validation or recognition.
It is okay if DJ Nimrod knows me or not, and if he does not play my music, no problem.
She wrapped up by urging him to find himself where he belongs and do what fits his age, maintaining that his dislike will not hinder her progress.
