Uncle Chumi: “I Will Remain Bad-Mannered Until I Get Married”

All those urging Uncle Chumi to “get well-behaved” might want to redirect that energy toward finding her a husband instead.

While appearing on Sanyuka Uncut, the “Gwokute Gwobba” singer made it clear she has no plans to tone down her attitude until marriage.

Me, who is not married, why do I need to have good manners? Do you expect me to have good manners while I am single and also have good manners when I get married? This time is for me to have bad manners… When I get married, I will become well-mannered.

Chumi also addressed rumors about her age, insisting she is still in her mid-twenties and nowhere near 30.

Me, to be 30 years? I would rather die. I am a long distance away from 30. I am young. I just turned 25. I was born on 26th September 2000. If you are to compare me to anyone in the industry, it has to be Baby Gloria, just because she got married at a young age.

And for anyone still doubting her, she had one last sharp response.

I did not give birth to myself. If you want to know my age, go to my mother’s grave and ask her in what year she gave birth to me.
