Vampino Set to Hold His First Dancehall Concert This November
When one speaks of Ugandan dancehall music, one of the names that comes up is Vampino, or Vampos as he was known in the past.
The singer and actor made his breakthrough as part of the duo Benon and Vampos, releasing popular hits like “I Know” and “Nsazewo,” which quickly became fan favourites.
Alongside the duo’s success, he also explored a solo career.
Songs like “Smart Wire,” “Kwekunyakunya,” and “Luv 2 Dance” kept him on the charts and strengthened his place in the hearts of dancehall lovers across Uganda.
Still, despite his achievements, one thing had always been missing: a concert of his own.
For years, fans kept asking when he would finally organise a full show just for them. Now, that long wait is almost over.
In a recent interview, Vampino shared that while he has performed at many events, he had never really found the time to organise a show of his own.
That, however, is changing this year as he announced that his first-ever dancehall concert will be held on November 28th.
“We have to represent Uganda in dancehall, so I want to come with a real energetic dancehall show,”he said.
Vampino revealed that behind the scenes, he and his team are already hard at work to ensure everything goes as planned.
