Victor Ruz Opens Up on Pressures That Forced Him to Take a Break from Music

Ugandan artiste Victor Ruz has revealed the overwhelming personal and professional pressures that led him to step away from music at the height of his career.

In a candid interview on Galaxy TV Uganda’s The Deep Talk, the singer described a period when multiple challenges hit him at once, pushing him to the brink.

There comes a time, just like in any other business, when it is your time to shine and there is also a moment when you break down. That is where many people lose it and turn to substances or rehab.

Victor Ruz explained that he faced a pile-up of problems: losing friends, failed relationships, a stolen phone, and issues with his management.

Everything was on me. I decided to give my life to Christ because I was going through so many problems.

Unlike many who react impulsively, the artiste chose to step back and reflect.

Some people solve problems by stepping into them immediately, while others step back and analyze the situation. I am that kind of person. I do not react immediately. I take my time. What I needed first was to find myself and understand what was going wrong.
