Victor Ruz Reveals the Painful Reason for His Musical Absence

By Brian Macona

After a long and unexplained absence from the music scene, Victor Ruz is finally opening up about why he stepped away from the spotlight.

In a chat interview with Sanyuka Uncut, the singer revealed that his break was not planned but forced by a series of setbacks behind the scenes.

I have been on a musical break, and today I want to explain why. So you understand that this pause was never my choice.

The last time fans heard from Victor Ruz musically was in 2023, when he released his track “Tattoo.”

Since then, his presence in the industry has been noticeably quiet. Many speculated whether he was shifting direction or struggling creatively.

As it turns out, the truth was far more personal.

Since releasing Tattoo, my music has not been released or promoted the way I had hoped. I felt the creativity building inside me. I was writing every day, working on new songs, investing in production. But none of it ever made it out into the world.

Despite his continued efforts in the studio, Ruz was dealt a crushing blow.

According to him, a group of close collaborators he had been working with reportedly erased his entire hard drive.

That single act wiped out years of unreleased recordings, ongoing projects then, and future releases.

Sadly, that is when things took a turn. These key collaborators formatted my whole hard drive. They erased everything I had created. And on top of that, they cut off contact and completely disappeared from the project.

Left with nothing but the memories of what had been lost, and without any backups to recover the damage, Ruz found himself isolated.

The betrayal and sudden lack of support left him no choice but to take a step back from music entirely.

Alone, with no backups and no support, I had to step back. That is why I took time off.

While he did not specify when new music might arrive, his willingness to share it signals a possible return.
