Victoria University Celebrates 9th Graduation Ceremony
Victoria University marked a major milestone today, October 28, 2025, with its 9th graduation ceremony at the luxurious Speke Resort and Conference Centre in Munyonyo.
The event brought together graduates, university officials, government representatives, parents, and distinguished guests in a celebration of academic achievement.
Over 2,500 students graduated in disciplines including Business Administration, Health Sciences, Information Technology, Law, and Humanities.
The ceremony highlighted the university’s commitment to hands on, innovative, and transformative education, equipping students with practical skills for the modern job market.
Victoria University Vice Chancellor, Dr. Lawrence Muganga, congratulated the graduates, emphasizing the institution’s focus on technology driven learning and employability.
He noted that the Experiential Learning Model sets Victoria University apart as one of the most progressive institutions in East Africa.
“At Victoria University, we do not just hand out degrees; we nurture thinkers, innovators, and leaders who can compete globally,” Dr. Muganga said.
Parents and guardians cheered as their children walked across the stage to receive their degrees and diplomas.
The atmosphere at Speke Resort was lively, with music, dance, and a display of academic excellence.
This year’s theme, “Transforming Education Through Innovation and Experience,” reflected the university’s mission to redefine higher education through real world exposure, digital integration, and entrepreneurship training.
The guest of honor commended Victoria University for bridging the gap between education and employment, noting that many graduates are already contributing positively to Uganda’s economy.
Part of the Ruparelia Group, Victoria University has gained recognition for flexible, tech based learning programs, internships for all students, and international partnerships that prepare learners for global competitiveness.
As the sun set over Lake Victoria, graduates posed for photos in their academic regalia, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another, a step into a future full of possibilities.
