Vinka Responds to Rumors of Favoritism at Swangz Avenue
Ugandan pop star Vinka, whose real name is Nakiyingi Veronica Lugya, is setting the record straight.
Responding to whispers that she is outshining her fellow Swangz Avenue labelmates, Vinka dismissed the rumors as pure fan-fueled fiction.
Appearing on Sanyuka Uncut, the “Chips Na Ketchup” singer explained that Swangz Avenue operates on a structured schedule.
“When the year starts, every one of us has their plan,” she said, brushing off claims that she receives special treatment.
In other words, it is not favoritism. It is just smart scheduling.
As for suggestions that she is living a champagne lifestyle while others sip tap water, Vinka shot those down as well.
She said she lives within her means, manages her money wisely, and supports her family. No budget blowing bling or beachfront selfies here.
Swangz Avenue, Uganda’s musical powerhouse, is home to stars like Azawi, Winnie Nwagi, Elijah Kitaka, and Zafaran, alongside Vinka.
According to her, they all co-exist and do not compete.
