VIP Jemo Reveals What “Buguda” Really Means
You have probably heard the song “Buguda” by VIP Jemo and Recho Ray, perhaps while walking through town, at a nightclub, or playing at your favorite local hangout spot.
While the song title may seem open to interpretation, VIP Jemo recently clarified its meaning during an interview with Sanyuka Uncut.
Unlike Recho Rey, who claimed the word “Buguda” means “Kindazi,” a local snack made from wheat, Jemo said it actually refers to a fruit.
It is a fruit. Recho Rey has it. And many others have it, including Uncle Chumi.
The self-proclaimed king of the new school went on to share an update, revealing that he has a new song with Uncle Chumi titled “Deposit,” which is expected to drop soon.
Both artistes behind “Buguda” share different interpretations of the word, but the song’s catchy vibe is clear to everyone.
And perhaps the real question is: What does the song mean to you?
