When Friday Plans Become Weekend Chaos

It all began on a Friday evening when Brenda told her roommate, Tracy, she just needed some fresh air and a small drink. Two hours later, Brenda was on the dance floor at Cask Lounge, holding a cocktail that probably cost more than her UEDCL bill. That is when she met Kavuma, tall, bearded, shirt open just enough to catch attention.

Drinks, laughter, and questionable dance moves later, Brenda disappeared into the Kampala night like the star of her own mystery series.

Saturday Morning

Brenda woke up in Kavuma’s Kyanja apartment, wearing his oversized T-shirt and looking like a child lost in laundry. Her phone revealed 47 missed calls from Tracy.

Tracy demanded to know where she was. Brenda replied vaguely before sending her location pin. Meanwhile, Brenda had yet to brush or change, and she had already started bonding with Kavuma’s fridge. By Saturday night, she was practically part of the furniture.

Sunday Afternoon: The Rescue Mission

Driven by curiosity and drama, Tracy followed the pin to Kavuma’s place. She knocked, and Kavuma answered shirtless. Tracy paused before saying, “Oh, so this is where air brought you?”

Kavuma, smiling, told them both to stay. That was mistake number one. Within the hour, Tracy warned Kavuma about Brenda, calling her dangerous, manipulative, and someone who could eat anything without permission. Kavuma’s expression changed. Suddenly, Brenda began packing, her earrings and vibes being the only things she took.

Sunday Night

Brenda left in silence via Uber. Tracy stayed. Kavuma smiled.

By Sunday night, a friendship had ended, a situationship had begun, and an oversized T-shirt was gone forever.

The lesson is clear: Friday plans in Kampala can easily turn into full-time housing crises, broken friendships, and unexpected relationships by Sunday night.
