Where Were the Big Artistes? Mirundi Jr. Reacts to Chameleone’s Airport Welcome

Tamale Mirundi Jr. recently shared his thoughts on the reception Jose Chameleone received after returning from the United States, where he had been undergoing treatment for acute pancreatitis.

According to Mirundi Jr., the welcome at the airport was underwhelming, with the crowd made up mostly of faded and upcoming artistes.

“Their names might be familiar, but their music is not,” he claimed.

He went on to comment about the media’s influence, suggesting that without the press coverage, Chameleone’s arrival would not have received much attention at all.

Mirundi Jr. also raised questions about the absence of top-tier musicians, wondering why some of the industry’s bigger names were missing from the homecoming.

He specifically pondered the absence of artistes like Eddy Kenzo, B2C Soldiers, Winnie Nwagi, and Sheebah Karungi.

In his closing remark, Mirundi Jr. noted the irony of the situation, saying, “Had Chameleone returned in a coffin, most if not all artistes would have rushed to the airport.”
