Why Alien Skin Chose to Return to Uganda Despite Earlier Threats

Singer Alien Skin has been back in Uganda for some time, putting to rest earlier speculations that he might permanently leave the country.

While receiving medical treatment in Kenya after the Iganga attack, Alien Skin told Nsasagge Media that he felt unappreciated and unsafe in Uganda.

He revealed that his life had been at risk and that the government had ignored his calls for protection.

He also considered restarting his career there, saying that “stardom in Uganda is bulls**t” and that he would take the entire Fangone Forest with him if he moved.

However, the Alien Skin has since returned home.

Speaking recently on NBS After 5, he reflected on his decision, saying:

Just like many people who move abroad to show they can live a good life, taking pictures in swimming pools, bars, expensive cars, and apartments, I did the same. But then I realized that ‘Ki Uganda Kinyuma.’

He added:

There were many things that could have tempted me to stay in Kenya, but I could not manage there the way I manage here.
