Why Dexta Rapper Brought His Father Mzeey Kawato to Kampala
Father-and-son duo Dexta Rapper and Mzeey Kawato, the faces behind the viral “Wa Wa Ina Wa” dance craze, have taken social media by storm with their energetic moves.
Their newfound fame has opened big opportunities, but it has also sparked talk, as some critics suggest that Kasese Giant only brought his father from Kasese to Kampala for business.
Speaking to Tawfiq Media, Dexta Rapper dismissed the claims, insisting their move to the city is about the fans, not the money.
It was demand from the people. It was not business… That I am bringing him for business. No. It was the people’s demand. They asked for him.
He said the overwhelming support from Ugandans left them with no choice but to share their talent beyond Kasese.
They needed us. They needed our entertainment. We had to do it. We had to come to Kampala. You know Ugandans are well-wishers. They saw us in Kasese doing our thing, and they also demanded that we come to Kampala and entertain.
Dexta Rapper also pointed out that dancing runs in their family and that he has always seen the talent in his father.
