Ugandan singer Liam Voice, born Zisabusolo Willy, has weighed in on the state of Uganda’s music industry, pointing to the rising competition among artistes.

Speaking to Daily Soup, the “Love Olinonya” hitmaker said music itself is not in a bad place, but the environment has become more demanding.

Music has not been bad; it is just that there is competition and a lot of challenges, but regardless, we move.

He noted that the high volume of new releases has made it harder for songs to gain attention.

With many artistes releasing music at the same time, Liam Voice said standing out now requires extra hard work.
