Why Janice Skipped a Traditional Career for Influencing
Gone are the days when social media and the internet were just for passing time.
Today, they are changing lives, creating jobs, and building real careers.
One of the biggest winners in this digital era is influencing.
What started as a simple hobby has now grown into a full time job for many young people.
Ugandan content creator and influencer Janice Kemigisha is living proof of this shift.
She is quickly becoming a familiar face in the industry, landing major brand deals and appearing on billboards across the country.

Speaking to YouTuber Allan Cruz, Janice opened up about choosing the internet over a traditional career path.
She revealed that she studied Procurement and Management Logistics at university, but does not feel the need to pursue that field, at least for now.
I did procurement and management logistics. I can practice what I studied, but right now I do not feel the need to do so. I actually did that course because I wanted it.
When asked whether the internet is enough for her at the moment, Janice was clear:
Yeah. The funny thing about the internet is that it is here and it is not going anywhere. It is just getting started. It is like a moving train. You either hop on or off and go. If you blink, it leaves you.
