Why Joshua Baraka Welcomes Being Called an International Artist but Feels He Has Not Yet Achieved It

While many already consider him an international artiste, especially after his hit song “NANA” gained widespread popularity across Africa, Joshua Baraka feels he has not yet fully reached that level.

In a recent media interview, the singer said there is still a lot he needs to do to achieve that status.

“I still have a lot of work to do. I need a song that hits the entire world. That is what is missing,” he noted.

Even so, the rising star embraces being labeled an international act, as it aligns with his dreams and ambitions.

Joshua Baraka’s international recognition includes AFRIMMA nominations and a spot on Spotify RADAR.

His impressive journey also includes high-profile tours, festivals, and top performances across Europe and Africa, along with collaborations with some of the continent’s top artistes.

As for what he is grateful for, Joshua pointed to the fact that he has met many artistes he once admired and has had the opportunity to travel the world.

Asked about challenges, he said he has not faced any major setbacks so far and thanked God for the smooth progress in his career.
