Why Rapper Mun G Would Advise His Son Against a Career in Music

Ugandan Rapper Mun G, real name Mungi Emmanuel Matovu, has no regrets about his music career, but he would not want his son to follow in his footsteps.

Speaking in a recent interview, the rapper compared the music industry to boxing, explaining that while it looks exciting from the sidelines, once you get involved, it becomes a completely different experience.

In his view, the industry is all about hustling and bullying, which makes it extremely stressful.

Mun G believes this constant stress and pressure takes a toll on musicians, as they are always in the public eye, dealing with criticism and public opinion every day.

To protect his own peace of mind, he prefers to stay low-key and avoid too much media attention.

He also argued that artistes who chase trends, always seek the spotlight, or follow what others are doing often lose themselves in the process.

For this reason, despite his love for the industry, he would not encourage his son to join it.
