Why Silence Is the Wisest Response to Verbal Attacks, According to Pastor Kayanja

Senior Pastor of Miracle Centre Cathedral, Robert Kayanja, has broken his silence, ironically, to explain why he often chooses not to respond to criticism, especially when it comes from fellow pastors.

In a recent media interview, the spiritual leader did not defend himself against all that has been said about him or trade insults.

Instead, he spoke about why silence can sometimes be the wiser path.

“Life is a journey,” he said, reflecting on the process of growth from childhood to adulthood.

Kayanja believes that as people grow older, they naturally begin to see things differently.

“As someone grows, there are things they naturally outgrow. With age comes wisdom, and with wisdom comes discernment about which battles are worth fighting,” he added.

Building on that, he suggested that not every fight is random.

In many cases, Kayanja said, conflict is a calculated move by others to achieve a hidden goal.

“When someone wages war on you, it is because they want to take something from you. So if you choose to engage in that war, you risk losing exactly what they are after,” he said.

With that in mind, Kayanja encouraged that one must avoid conflict entirely in order to protect what is theirs.
