Wizkid Confirms Asake Will Perform at His Wedding
Wizkid has revealed he wants Asake to perform at his long teased wedding.
The Nigerian superstar made the announcement during a recent Apple Music radio session with Disc Jockey Tunez, telling Asake that his hit track ‘Omo Ope’ instantly made him a fan.
But it is the song ‘Remember’ that Wizkid says must be on the wedding playlist.
‘Omo Ope’ made me an Asake fan from the first listen. But my favourite Asake song is ‘Remember,’ I think you have to play that one on my wedding day. It is an amazing record.
Calling Asake one of Africa’s most talented vocalists, Wizkid described him as a true blessing to the continent’s music scene.
He praised the singer’s unique voice and hailed his songs as “amazing records” worthy of global recognition.
You [Asake] are amazing, you have one of the most special voices from home [Africa] and in the world. I have told you that like a million times and I am saying it again on radio. You are a blessing to African music.
Off the microphone, Wizkid is in a relationship with his third baby mama and manager, Japa P.
The couple have three children together, including two boys and a girl.
