Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage End Seven-Year Feud
Nigerian music stars Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage have surprised fans by finally settling their seven year feud.
The tension between them began on social media years ago.
Yemi made a post about female artistes editing their pictures to make their bodies look bigger.
The post circulated quickly because it came soon after Tiwa shared photos showing her curves.
Many fans believed the message was aimed at Tiwa, and she reacted by warning Yemi to stay away from trouble.
From that moment, the two singers kept their distance.
Their reunion happened in Lagos on Thursday during “The Price of Being Her” panel at Entertainment Week Africa.
While speaking at the event, Yemi turned to Tiwa and praised her for being bold and standing strong as a woman in the industry.
She encouraged Tiwa to keep being herself. Tiwa became emotional.
I honestly want you to know that those moments you get rugged and do what you truly want to do, you are standing up for many females. Just continue being you. You are literally walking in strength.
A second video later showed both artistes hugging after the event, confirming that the long standing misunderstanding had finally ended.
