Ziggy Dee Recounts Life-Threatening Accident, Claims It Was Planned

Veteran Ugandan singer Ziggy Dee has made shocking revelations about the accident that nearly claimed his life.

Appearing on Gossip Live, the “Eno Mic” hitmaker relived the terrifying night his car rolled nine times after a show in Gayaza, leaving it “not even recognisable.”

But for Ziggy Dee, the real heartbreak came after the wreck.

At Mulago hospital, I was there alone. Only a few people I had gone with stood by me. That is when I realised the people we call friends are never really our friends. You can have a gang following you, but when you get a problem, you see you have always been alone. The car was totally destroyed, I broke my arm. Instead of sympathy, many, whether fellow musicians or media personalities, mocked me. It left me in shock.

Even more disturbing, the singer claimed the crash was no accident at all.

The brakes were cut. The brake fluid was cut. I was coming from an event that had many artistes, and my car was tampered with. When I was driving, the car just kept moving. When I tried to brake, the brakes did not work. I tried controlling it by shifting into different gears, but nothing worked. The car rolled nine times. Now tell me, can such an accident leave anyone the same?

Ziggy Dee says he still does not know who was behind it, but he is convinced the crash was orchestrated.

The ordeal, he added, opened his eyes to the painful reality that not everyone around him is truly a friend.
