Ziza Bafana Says Musicians Federation Is About Unity, Not Politics

Ziza Bafana has revealed that members of the National Resistance Movement have repeatedly offered him money to sing for the party, but he turned down the offers because he stands by his political beliefs.

The dancehall artiste, who openly supports the opposition National Unity Platform, said the offers have come both recently and in the past.

Bafana made the remarks while explaining why he recently attended a meeting of the Uganda National Musicians Federation led by Eddy Kenzo.

His appearance at the meeting raised eyebrows because Kenzo is known to align with the ruling party while Bafana is associated with the opposition.

However, Bafana said the meeting had nothing to do with politics and was focused on issues affecting musicians, especially how artists can earn from their work.

He added that the federation is meant to unite musicians in Uganda regardless of their political beliefs.

During the same discussion, Bafana also dismissed fellow artist Lil Pazo, saying he does not have time for him.
