Zuchu Becomes First East African Female Artiste to Hit 1 Billion YouTube Views

Tanzanian star Zuchu is rewriting the rules for East African female artistes on YouTube.

She has become the first in the region to hit a staggering 1 billion views.

The latest ranking from Wasafi Music shows Zuchu far ahead of the competition.

Her music videos, catchy hits, and steady releases have made her a powerhouse across Africa and beyond.

Trailing behind is fellow Tanzanian Nandy with 306 million views, while Kenya’s Diana Bahati is close with 294 million.

eOther top names include Martha Mwaipaja, Uganda’s Sheebah, and gospel singer Christina Shusho.

Ugandan stars Rema Namakula and Spice Diana also made the top ten with strong numbers, showing Uganda is making waves in the digital music scene.

Zuchu’s lead is more than three times that of the second-ranked artiste, highlighting her star power and Wasafi Music’s global influence.
