Elijah Kitaka Challenges Doubts About Luganda Going Global
Ugandan singer Elijah Kitaka has made his ambition clear after sharing a video from Red Bull Symphonic on X.
The clip captured a powerful live performance on the grand symphonic stage, but it was the caption that truly caught attention.
In his message, he declared that one day he will stand on that same stage, singing in Luganda.
One day I know I will perform on this stage singing Luganda, a language people doubt can go international.
The “Daily Bundle” hitmaker went on to challenge the idea that language limits music.
Drawing from global trends, he pointed out that audiences often connect to songs emotionally, even when they do not understand the lyrics.
Music is surely a feeling. Just see how we vibe to Amapiano. We do not understand what the songs mean, but we vibe and still understand through feeling.
With that caption, Kitaka made his belief clear that Luganda can stand on any international stage.

Red Bull Symphonic is a global music event series that brings together modern/contemporary artistes with full orchestras to create unique, one-of-a-kind live performances.
