Elijah Kitaka Shares Why He Keeps His Music Mellow and Soulful
Ugandan singer Elijah Kitaka is known for his unique fusion of reggae, Afrobeats, jazz, R&B, ragga, and dancehall.
Although some of these genres are known for high energy, Kitaka has remained consistent in delivering music that is mellow and easy to vibe to.
Speaking to Sanyuka TV, the “Dawa” hit-maker explained that his style of music is something he feels and something that comes from deep within.
Music is a feeling. That is how I feel personally and what I feel is what I write down, record in the studio, and eventually share with the world.
He also expressed his love for what he does, saying that it has the power to impact people’s lives.
You create something, then people like it, and for some, their lives even change because of it. I love what I do, and I am so proud of music.
