Karole Kasita Concert Cleared to Proceed Under Strict Ebola Guidelines
Karole Kasita’s highly anticipated concert appears set to go ahead despite growing public concern following the government’s suspension mass gatherings in Kampala and several high risk districts over Ebola fears.
Earlier reports about the restrictions left many fans wondering whether the singer’s “The Power Within” concert would still happen as planned on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Kampala Serena Hotel.
However, a Ministry of Health clearance letter dated May 28, 2026, now confirms that the concert has received approval to proceed.

In the document addressed to Karole Kasita Music Ltd manager Arnold Ssempijja Apple, the ministry acknowledged the organizers for notifying authorities about the event and the measures they had already undertaken.
The Ministry hereby clears the event to proceed as planned, subjected to strict adherence to the attached Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for mass gatherings and other public health guidance issued by the Ministry of Health regarding Ebola prevention and control.
The ministry also directed the organizers to work closely with Commissioner Emergency Medical Services Dr. JB Waniaye Nambohe to ensure full compliance and public safety during the concert.

The development comes just hours after government intensified Ebola prevention measures, sparking uncertainty around several upcoming entertainment events across Kampala.
