Selecta Jeff Questions How Ugandan Artistes Use Social Media
Selecta Jeff has questioned why some Ugandan artistes fail to take advantage of social media promotion.
The DJ, born Geoffrey Kihembo Tumusiime, raised the issue on X while reacting to how musicians respond after major content creators use their songs online.

Using Ghetto Kids as an example, he pointed out how the dance group has helped several songs reach bigger audiences through viral dance challenges shared across social media platforms.
Despite that exposure, some artistes reportedly do not repost the videos or acknowledge the support, something Selecta Jeff believes makes little sense given the group’s international influence.
He also claimed Ghetto Kids charge at least $1,000 for a single promotional video, arguing that musicians who receive that kind of exposure for free should treat it as a valuable opportunity.
Most Ugandan Musicians/Celebrities actually don’t know how to use their social media..because explain 2 me why a globally celebrated Dance group like Ghetto Kids make a challenge on your song 4 FREE & you can’t comment or share😳
Mind U, they charge minimum $1K to do one video 👌— SELECTA JEFF (@selectajeff) May 28, 2026
