Jowy Landa Calls for Better Branding in Ugandan Music
Following her recent gigs in London, Ugandan singer Jowy Landa says the trip gave her a fresh perspective on the music business.
In an interview with Rewind, she emphasized that musicians need to adopt new approaches to succeed in show-biz.
The “Saba Saba” hitmaker singled out branding as a key area where Ugandan artistes often fall short.
“Ugandan musicians fall short when it comes to branding. That is why music promoters give us little money for performances, because they see us as just being there.”
For Jowy Landa, stronger branding is key to ensuring Ugandan musicians receive the value and recognition they deserve.
