Kenzo Comments on Federation Money and Pallaso’s NUP Affiliation

Eddy Kenzo, the popular Ugandan musician and President of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), has shared his views on politics within the Federation.

His comments come after news that Pallaso, his Vice President in the Federation, joined the National Unity Platform (NUP).

Kenzo emphasized that he has no personal issue with Pallaso choosing his political path.

He also highlighted that he supports political freedom for all members of the Federation, regardless of which party they join.

However, his main concern is the proper use of Federation resources.

He clarified that funds given to the Federation by the Natinal Resistance Movement (NRM) are intended specifically to support NRM members within the Federation.

As a result, he cannot redirect that money to a different political party.

I do not have any problem with Pallaso, my Vice President in the Federation, for joining NUP as his political party. I also support NRM, but my concern was that I cannot give the Federation’s money to NUP as a political party. This money was given to the Federation by NRM, so it is meant to support NRM members within the Federation.

When asked about a reported misunderstanding with artiste King Saha, Eddy Kenzo clarified that King Saha is actually one of the founding members of the Federation.

He explained that when King Saha contested against Bebe Cool for a leadership position and lost, he left the Federation out of frustration.

Despite this, Kenzo confirmed that King Saha still remains a member of the Federation.

He further emphasized that there are no misunderstandings among artistes in the current campaign, contrary to public rumors.
