Liam Voice Says He Will Join UNMF Once He Understands Its Purpose
Joining the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) is not on Liam Voice’s agenda for now.
The singer, born Willy Zisabusolo, says he still does not fully understand the purpose of the body led by Eddy Kenzo, and until he does, he is not ready to sign up.
The truth is that the President does not know much about music. For me, I am not lame; I can work so I do not need to be given money.
Liam Voice explained that his hesitation is not about rejecting the federation, but about wanting clarity on what it actually does for artistes.
The federation has its objectives and even me I also have my own plans. It is not that I do not believe in the federation, but what it does I have not yet comprehended well.

Another reason, he added, is his current management arrangement, which controls key decisions related to his music career.
In simple terms, what frustrates me from being a member of the federation is that I am under management and it has rights over everything regarding my music.
The Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) began in 2023 under the leadership of Eddy Kenzo.
Its mandate is to unite different associations in Uganda’s music industry and give artistes a collective voice.
But like several artistes in the industry, Liam Voice says he prefers to first understand how the body works before becoming a member.
