Selecta Jeff Shares Moment Madoxx Sematimba Asked Him to Stop Playing His Music
Ugandan DJ and music curator Selecta Jeff has shared a hilarious encounter with reggae legend Madoxx Sematimba that has left social media talking.
According to Jeff, the moment he spotted Madoxx at a bar, excitement immediately took over.
As a longtime fan of the singer, he decided to pay tribute by playing some of the artiste’s biggest songs for the crowd.
But the moment did not go as expected.
Jeff revealed in a post on X that Madoxx later sent a waiter with a message asking him to stop playing the music.

Often referred to as the “King of Ugandan Reggae,” Madoxx built a lasting legacy through his soulful ballads and strong command of the Luganda language.
Many of his classics from the early 2000s still enjoy heavy rotation across Ugandan media and hangout spots today.
