“You Are the Reason I Earned My Stripes,” Lyrical G Honors DJ Bush Baby’s Legacy

Ugandan rapper Lyrical G has joined the growing list of artistes mourning the sudden loss of Michael Owor, famously known as DJ Bush Baby.

In a heartfelt post, Lyrical G expressed deep gratitude and admiration for the late icon, crediting him as a major influence in his journey as an artiste.

“If it weren’t for you, I’d prolly just be another kid with a microphone in his mouth. You are the reason I earned my stripes. I will forever celebrate you. Until we meet again on the other side,” he wrote.

DJ Bush Baby’s sudden passing has left a void in the entertainment community. However, his legacy continues to inspire many others who benefited from his support and encouragement.

Plans have been made for his burial, which is scheduled for Sunday, June 8, 2025, at his ancestral home in Tororo, Magola Pajangango off Iyolwa Road.
