Coco Finger Criticized After Climbing Onto Jeff Kiwa’s Table During Performance
Dancehall artiste Coco Finger has come under fire on social media after climbing onto a VIP table during his performance at the launch of Bruno K‘s Hano Lounge in Kisaasi.
The June 14 event attracted several figures from Uganda’s entertainment industry, including music promoter Jeff Kiwa, singer Ava Peace, and other artists and guests.
Videos circulating on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and X show Coco Finger stepping onto a table where Jeff Kiwa and Ava Peace were seated before using it as part of his performance.
The footage quickly sparked debate online, with some social media users describing the act as disrespectful and unprofessional.
Several commenters argued that the singer crossed a line by disrupting guests, particularly Jeff Kiwa, one of Uganda’s most prominent music promoters.
Others questioned whether performers should involve seated guests in their acts without prior consent, regardless of the atmosphere at an event.
However, some fans defended Coco Finger, arguing that his energetic stage presence and crowd interaction have always been central to his performances.
They maintained that the singer was simply entertaining the audience in a manner consistent with the style that has defined much of his career.
As debate continues online, neither Coco Finger nor his management team has publicly addressed the criticism. Jeff Kiwa, Ava Peace, and Bruno K have also not commented in detail on the incident.
