Dancehall Queen Spice Cancels Uganda Show, Fans Left Disappointed

Ugandan fans of Jamaican dancehall superstar Spice are reeling after the singer announced that her highly anticipated December 6th show will no longer take place.

The news broke on her verified Instagram account, where Spice shared a striking poster reading, “Spice Will Not Be In Uganda December 6th.”

Her message left little room for doubt and instantly sparked reactions online.

In her statement, Spice expressed both regret and affection for her fans: “ATTENTION! I will not be attending this event in Uganda on December 6th. I was truly excited and looking forward to meeting my brothers and sisters there, but unfortunately the promoter did not fulfill the contractual agreements.

The concert, branded Safari Beats Feat Spice, had been heavily promoted, with tickets ranging from 85,000 UGX to 5 million UGX for VIP lounges.

Now, the cancellation raises questions about the future of the event, and fans are calling on organizers to provide answers.

Social media quickly lit up with reactions. Many fans expressed frustration after weeks of anticipation, while others shared memes and messages expressing their disappointment.

The show had been expected to be one of the biggest international dancehall events of the festive season in Uganda.

At the time of writing, the promoter has not issued a public statement addressing the alleged contractual breach.

Despite the setback, Spice continues to show appreciation for her Ugandan fan base, and many are hopeful she will return under better conditions.
