Lydia Jazmine Chooses BBL Over Bleaching in Quick-Fire Q&A
Lydia Jazmine has ruled out skin bleaching, saying she would never change her natural complexion.
During a quick-fire Q&A on XFM, the “You and Me” singer faced a choice between bleaching and a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), two trends that continue to spark debate among young women.
She made her position clear and said she is proud of her melanin, with no interest in altering her skin tone.
I can never bleach. I love my melanin too much. I would rather stay the way I am.
She ruled out a BBL as well, saying it does not suit her at the moment.
And for BBL I feel I am already overweight so that is not something I can consider either.
Further pressure to choose between the two led her to lean toward BBL, even though she still prefers neither.
“If I had to choose one then maybe BBL but honestly I would rather do nothing.”
Beyond the comparison, Jazmine said she sees herself as an ambassador for dark skinned women, encouraging confidence in natural beauty over body or skin alterations.
